Smutburger in NYC and other updates

SAVE THE DATE!!!

Smutburger is hosting an NYC party for Volume Two – unfortunately I won’t be able to make it to give a reading but if you’re in the East Village, do check out this smoking lineup 🔥🔥🔥

In other news, DON’T SUBMIT published my bizarro prose poem misappropriating Giorgio Agamben’s Homo Sacer. Shortly after, someone tweeted this which pretty much made my week:

If I can elicit this reaction with everything I write, I figure I’ve pretty much done my job.

One last update! (I feel like every post I make these days is a series of updates…) I was very honoured to be selected to attend the BIPOC Writers Connect conference hosted by The Writers’ Union of Canada. I received my conference package in the mail (including my mentor’s book!) and am very much looking forward to meeting the organizers and attendees. It’s basically my first industry event so I’m very curious as to what it will be like and hope to report back soon.

Yes, I have more publishing news in the pipeline but that’s all I can share for now. I’ll continue to update here when I can ♡
